LG CineBeam S Delivers Unrivaled Viewing Immersion and Unprecedented Flexibility

A Genuine Gamechanger, LG’s Ultra Short Throw Projector Presents 4K Picture
Quality, Dolby Atmos Support and Built-in webOS in a Sleek, Portable Package

SEOUL, Aug. 5, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) today announced the beginning of the global rollout of the LG CineBeam S (model PU615U), a compact yet powerful 4K Ultra Short Throw (UST) projector designed to deliver premium home entertainment and unprecedented flexibility. Building on the legacy of the LG CineBeam Q, the new model elevates viewer immersion with vibrant, large-scale images in stunning 4K (3,840 x 2,160) and cinematic audio with dynamic Dolby Atmos sound. Introducing the concept of “Wonder beyond spatial limits,” the stylish LG CineBeam S can turn even the smallest space into a premier personal theater.

LG’s latest CineBeam projector combines advanced UST technology and an exceptionally small, aesthetically pleasing form factor to provide maximum space efficiency, effortless portability and a memorable big-screen experience. Positioned as close as 8.1 centimeters from the screen or projection surface, this elegantly designed UST projector reproduces bright, detailed pictures measuring from 40 inches (at 8.1 centimeter) up to 100 inches (at 39.3 centimeter) diagonally. Unlike conventional projectors that require long throw distances and complex mounting setups, the CineBeam S is supremely easy to set up – ideal for situations where space is at a premium. Its tiny footprint means there is no need to move furniture or rearrange the room to create the optimal conditions for installation.

The CineBeam S produces brilliant 4K images – adjustable in size from 40 to 100 inches – that are just as crisp and clear in the daytime as they are at night. Its advanced RGB laser system offers 154 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, guaranteeing accurate color reproduction that helps preserve the creative intent behind each piece of content. With 500 ANSI lumens brightness and a 450,000:1 contrast ratio, it ensures deep blacks and rich, lifelike colors under any ambient lighting conditions.

Designed to fit seamlessly into customers’ lifestyles, the LG CineBeam S offers a range of convenient features that promote versatile usability. A complete home cinema solution, it comes equipped with built-in stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos for spacious and dynamic audio. The integration of LG’s webOS smart TV platform gives users access to a host of popular streaming services along with intuitive control and convenient content discovery.

For more entertainment options, users can connect external devices through the projector’s physical ports (HDMI x 1 and USB Type-C x 2), or stream content wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet or PC via AirPlay 2 and Screen Share. Setup is fast and simple, thanks to Auto Screen Adjustment, which enables sharp, perfectly aligned visuals in practically any viewing environment. Users can further fine-tune visual output without physically moving the projector through Screen Scaling & Shifting, and utilize the Wall Color Adjustment feature for projection onto non-white surfaces.

Beyond performance, the CineBeam S also impresses with its subtle, yet eye-catching minimalist design completed with an elegant metallic finish, seamlessly blending into any interior space as an aesthetic object. Its small size allows for easy placement on a shelf or table and provides excellent portability, giving users the freedom to take the projector with them wherever they go. A triumph of form and function, the LG CineBeam S packs powerful projection technology into an ultra-compact unit that fits comfortably in one hand, measuring 110 × 160 × 160 millimeters and weighing 1.9 kilograms. The model also ships with a redesigned remote that offers a more refined look and a more natural control experience compared to the LG CineBeam Q. Additionally, support for the LG ThinQ app lets users operate the projector with their smartphone.

“The LG CineBeam S is a testament to our commitment to innovation, and to bringing a truly premium home cinema experience to a wider audience,” said YS Lee, head of IT Business at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “This isn’t just a projector; it’s a premium lifestyle solution that combines design and technology excellence to deliver unprecedented flexibility and a new kind of customer value.”

LG xboom by will.i.am: Sound and Style Designed for Life’s Genuine Moments

Portable audio has evolved beyond simply being compact and easy to carry; it now aims to enrich people’s everyday experiences. From rooftop gatherings and beach days to home workouts, meditation sessions and music by the campsite, portable speakers have become part of more personal and diverse moments than ever before.

On-the-go audio is as much about setting the mood, bringing people together and fitting effortlessly into a daily routine as it is about the music itself. With this understanding, the design team studied how people truly bring music into their lives. These insights became the foundation for the latest LG xboom by will.i.am speakers, engineered to connect deeply with users.

Design Inspired by Everyday Life
The LG xboom by will.i.am speaker designs address the question: How do people actually use portable speakers and how do they bring real value to everyday life? Through the extensive study and observation of user interactions and behaviors, the team analyzed how speakers are carried and positioned, and how they integrate into various settings and environments. Their answers formed the xboom design philosophy.

Three core values guided every design decision, ensuring that every xboom speaker is practical, emotionally engaging and effortlessly blends into various environments: Purposeful Innovation, Emotional Warmth and Contextual Harmony.

“Purposeful Innovation” embraces human-centered design with ergonomic handles, adjustable straps and customizable lighting designed for real-life convenience. Whether carrying the speaker to a party or relaxing at home, these details make it easy and comfortable to use everywhere. This commitment is reflected by the handles, straps and form factors across the xboom lineup, offering secure, comfortable handling and flexible, intuitive use for a seamless and versatile listening experience on the go.

To go beyond functionality, the design team injected “Emotional Warmth” into the designs, including charming lighting effects with adaptable intensity and mood-setting colors that deepen the listener’s emotional engagement. The speakers’ clean, symmetrical lines and balanced form factor provide a sense of visual stability and comfort, helping users feel secure and relaxed in a variety of settings.

“Contextual Harmony” introduces elements intentionally crafted to enable the speakers’ seamless integration into diverse surroundings while engaging listeners with an experience that feels connected and attuned to every moment. Whether it’s an energetic gathering or quiet personal moment, xboom speakers enhance the mood and empower people to enjoy music their way.

The Story Behind Each Design
Built for live performances and gatherings, the Stage 301 delivers powerful sound and a sturdy design, ideal for musicians and music lovers who require style and substance. Combining engineering with expressive design, it captivates audiences with a compelling mix of power and style.

For the Stage 301, the team explored various form factors, proportions, placements and internal layouts to project sound clearly and confidently during busking gigs, karaoke sessions and live performances. Every detail of its shape has been crafted to bring sound into spaces where audio presence and performance truly matter. They also drew insights from commercial performance speakers, considering their appearance and practical aspects to optimize sound and usability in real-world situations.

A key element of the design is the handle, which allows the speaker to tilt naturally when laid down for more effective sound projection. It can also be mounted on a tripod to suit different spaces and performance setups. The handle fits comfortably in the user’s palm and fingers, distributing weight evenly to minimize strain and ensure a secure hold. This ergonomic grip ensures stability while moving across a stage or when mounted on a tripod.

The Stage 301’s uniqueness comes from the design inspiration from the sports car exhausts – a symbol of power and performance. Seeking to capture that same purposeful energy, the design team focused on the point where the body’s edges converge. By accentuating this space, they achieved both structural strength and visual tension to enhance the overall design. This approach gives the speaker an athletic, muscular stance that conveys strength, power and dynamism. Through careful refinement, the team preserves the speaker’s bold character while ensuring a seamless and elegant visual flow.

The LG xboom by will.i.am Bounce’s beautifully symmetrical design looks refined from every angle, adding sophistication to a wide range of spaces. The design team explored how the speaker would look and feel in various indoor and outdoor settings, ensuring it could blend effortlessly into diverse environments. They refined its shape and size, balancing smooth, rounded lines with perfect symmetry to create something that feels stable and comfortable to use, appreciate and enjoy.

Purposefully, the Bounce’s two feet have a larger surface area to provide stable, secure contact with most surfaces – a detail that boosts stability during different usage. The design team wanted these feet to do more than support; they wanted to create a subtle visual link to the speaker’s acoustic elements. For this reason, the circular feet were made identical in size to the passive radiators, and aligned vertically, creating a column-like connection that highlights the Bounce’s balanced, symmetrical form.

With the Bounce’s passive radiators, the design team wanted listeners to not only hear but also see and feel sound. After experimenting with countless placements alongside engineers, they identified its top position as the most effective for delivering powerful bass, creating an impact users can both feel and see from above as the speaker’s deep vibrations come to life.

While exploring different strap adjustments and carry options, the design team uncovered opportunities for users to engage with Bounce in more creative and personal ways. They designed a versatile strap that can be worn over the shoulder, held in the hand or used to slip a hand between the speaker and strap for a more secure grip. To achieve this, they carefully refined the strap’s length and material for a design that supports a comfortable grip, reduces hand fatigue, stays secure when moving around and adapts to the length of the journey.

Another highlight of the latest xboom speakers is lighting, which uses colors and movement that match the mood, setting and pulse of the music. Believing that lighting should do more than look good, the design team explored how it could visually capture the energy and vibe of the music. Through countless trials with color transitions, speed variations and movement patterns, they designed horizontal lights that flow with the volume, rhythm, beat and tone, making it easier to feel and connect with it.

The fact that LG xboom by will.i.am Grab can be taken practically anywhere with ease, is no accident. The design team noticed that single-strap speakers can be unstable and difficult to carry. That insight sparked a simple idea: What if they added a second strap? This wouldn’t be just a functional fix, it would also let users carry and interact with the speaker in more creative and practical ways. Whether looped around a backpack or slung over a shoulder, the Grab becomes an extension of one’s lifestyle. What’s more, its adjustable straps and compact form let users slip their hand through comfortably, providing a secure grip that reduces fatigue. This design also allows fingers to easily reach and operate the buttons on top, making control simple without changing how it’s held.

The Grab’s design process involved extensive simulations and hands-on testing of various shapes and sizes, including rectangular and angular forms, to find the ideal balance between comfort and practicality. The team assessed how it felt in hand, how smoothly it rolled and how well it fit into the cup holders of cars, scooters and bicycles. With every detail refined to enhance usability and versatility, the cylindrical form was determined to feel the most natural, balanced and suited for everyday use.

The design team wanted the speaker to look as dynamic as it sounds. The Grab features passive radiators on both ends accented by a vibrating “X,” inspired by the xboom branding, visually representing the speaker’s vibrant, energetic audio performance.

Award-Winning Design Excellence
LG’s focus on the user experience and thoughtful approach to the xboom speakers’ design have earned global recognition, including the prestigious iF Design Award and Red Dot Design Award. The iF Design Award praised Grab’s functional design that allows it to be carried by hand or wrist, mounted on a bicycle or car or securely hung, making outdoor use more convenient and listening experiences more active. The Red Dot Design Award honored the Grab, Bounce and Stage 301 for stunning designs that are both user-centric and powerful performance-wise.

Sound That Goes Deeper Into Life
LG xboom by will.i.am redefines the speaker category as lifestyle companions that bring more joy, energy and entertainment into everyday life. The xboom design DNA continues to evolve with people’s desires and needs, seamlessly blending human-centered innovation, emotional warmth and contextual harmony.

Whether crafting a memorable performance, relaxing at home or adventuring out with friends, the xboom speakers elevate each moment, transforming them into design statements that resonate on a deeper level.

MMCA×LG OLED Series Kicks Off to Bring Digital Art Closer to the Public

Featuring 88 LG OLED Screens, Inaugural Exhibition by Artist TZUSOO
Transforms MMCA’s Central Seoul Box Into a Gateway for Digital Art

SEOUL, July 31, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) announces “MMCA×LG OLED Series 2025 – TZUSOO,” the inaugural exhibition of a multi-year partnership with the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA). This forward-looking project explores the creative possibilities at the intersection of art and technology – beginning with a large-scale digital installation by Korean media artist TZUSOO, on view at MMCA Seoul’s iconic Seoul Box from August 1, 2025, through February 1, 2026.

The MMCA×LG OLED Series transforms Seoul Box – a soaring, publicly accessible space at the heart of MMCA – into a dedicated platform for contemporary media art. Each year, the series will present a new work by a leading contemporary artist, with LG as the title sponsor providing technical support to help bring ambitious artistic visions to life.

For the inaugural edition, TZUSOO presents “Agarmon Encyclopedia: Leaked Edition,” a multimedia installation comprising the sculpture “Agarmon” alongside the two-channel video work “The Eight Spirits of Flesh.” Known for her distinct voice rooted in digital-native culture and her explorations of gender and identity, TZUSOO engages themes of life, desire and generative cycles through a hybrid of organic forms and digital avatars.

The installation is powered by 88 55-inch LG OLED screens, arranged into two towering media walls specifically designed to fill the Seoul Box space. With perfect blacks and vivid colors, LG OLED displays enhance the visual intensity of “The Eight Spirits of Flesh,” immersing viewers in a world where digital creatures shift and interact across screens. The scale and technical sophistication of the installation mark a significant moment for media art at MMCA – and underscore LG OLED’s digital canvas as a powerful and creative medium.

“It’s an honor to support the first of many exhibitions of the MMCA×LG OLED Series by helping bring the artist’s bold visual experiment to life through the immersive power of our LG OLED technology,” said Kate Oh, head of Experiential Marketing at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “We hope this series offers audiences a deeper, more sensory experience of contemporary art and expands the possibilities for how it can be expressed and appreciated by art enthusiasts on a digital canvas.”

“As the first artist selected for the MMCA×LG OLED Series, TZUSOO’s multifaceted spirit of experimentation vividly reflects the creativity and innovation this project aims to foster,” said Kim Sunghee, Director of MMCA. “We look forward to this exhibition introducing new possibilities for contemporary art at the intersection of technology and artistic vision.”

Why LG QNED evo Takes Gaming to a Level You Might Not Have Imagined

From the days of clunky cartridges and boxy monitors, gaming has come a long way. Yet, even in 2025 and beyond, there’s still room for transformational leaps – like the recent arrival of Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) on LG Smart TVs. Thanks to this partnership with Xbox, LG is giving players new freedom to customize their gaming experience just the way they like it.

Make the Ultimate TV Choice for Modern Gaming
This collaboration transforms the conventional TV experience by offering access to hundreds of Xbox titles directly through the Xbox app. All you need is a compatible controller, a high-speed internet connection – and of course, an LG TV. It’s all about giving you the power to choose how you play.

But which TV model truly brings your games to life?

If you’re looking for a widely accessible TV built to amplify every aspect of gaming – and available in massive screen sizes – look no further than LG’s QNED evo lineup. Engineered for gamers, QNED evo TVs don’t just meet the demands of today’s top titles – they thrive on them. Here’s how.

Ultra-Smooth Gameplay Has Never Been so Accessible
Fast-paced games demand a display that can keep up. Precise, smooth gameplay can be the difference between victory and defeat – or between total immersion and sheer frustration.

QNED evo TVs prove that you do not need to splurge to enjoy the smoothest, low-lag gameplay. Laggy, stuttering scenes are a thing of the past with refresh rates of up to 165Hz, enabling more responsive gameplay, reducing motion blur and providing a competitive edge. LG’s α8 AI Processor helps deliver minimal latency and lightning-fast response times.

And there’s more: QNED evo models support Variable Refresh Rate and Auto Low Latency Mode for seamless tear-free gaming, while AMD FreeSync Premium keeps games smooth as butter.

This is all underpinned by four HDMI 2.1 ports – so you do not have to choose between multiple consoles and your soundbar. You get speed, fluidity and flexibility, all in one.

True Wireless Gaming TV With Zero Compromises
Speaking of not wanting to make compromises, some gamers just find cables distracting. Many turn to wireless HDMI transmitters. The trouble is, the quality of these can be inconsistent. That’s where LG’s Zero Connect Box steps in and changes the game.

This technology, found in the new QNED9M, enables True Wireless 4K connectivity at up to 144Hz – with no latency, no loss in quality and full support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It even meets the AMD FreeSync Premium standard.

With the Zero Connect Box tucked away, you get a clean, clutter-free setup. Plug in your console or stream directly through the Xbox app – either way, you’ll enjoy seamless wireless gaming with low input lag and no visual compromise. Game your way, wire-free.

Real-Time Adjustments for Competitive Advantage
You can make the most of all these benefits by checking out LG’s Game Optimizer, which allows for fast, intuitive control over the gaming experience. With a single on-screen dashboard, you can tweak key settings on the fly – like Black Stabilizer for better visibility in dark scenes. Whether you’re playing a first-person shooter, an RPG or a high-speed racing game, the Game Optimizer put you in control. Fine-tune in real-time and sharpen your edge over the competition.

Stunning Visuals That Pull You into the Game
Games also just look great on QNED evo models, whether you are playing in a bright room or a dark one. Underpinning their vibrant visuals is LG’s proprietary Dynamic QNED Color delivers unparalleled accuracy and true-to-life picture quality.

That’s particularly important in visually rich, cinematic titles where no one wants a washed-out screen to break the immersion. Thankfully, QNED evo TVs offer exceptional picture quality and 100 percent color volume, allowing gamers to experience stunning visuals with deep blacks, bright highlights and vivid colors courtesy of Dynamic QNED Color and cutting-edge Mini LED technology. Advanced AI algorithms raise picture and sound quality to provide an even more immersive gaming experience with superior clarity and detail.

Want even more immersion? Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos enhance every detail – every explosion, whisper and ray of light – to a cinematic experience.

Bigger Screen for a Bigger Gaming Universe
A final word on versatility and affordability. These are important QNED evo advantages. Attractive pricing compared with other top-tier TV technologies means more people are able to elevate their gaming experience with a QNED evo TV.

The lineup is broad, extending from 50 to 100 inches in size. Gamers who thought their dream 65-inch TV was out of reach, for instance, might find a QNED evo model that suits them perfectly.

There is also a consistent baseline of exceptional quality in the overall QNED evo gaming experience. This includes LG’s Gaming Portal, which enhances game streaming with effortless access to a wide range of popular and new titles. With a user-friendly interface, curated app list and personalized recommendations, it’s your central hub for game discovery and streaming – designed to make your gaming journey uniquely yours.

Be the Undisputed Champion in the Living Room
If you are seeking peak performance, stunning visuals and next-gen features – all at a compelling value – LG QNED evo is the ultimate choice. It transforms your living room into a true gaming arena, where every session feels like a front-row seat to the action.

Reimagining Arena Entertainment at Spain’s Roig Arena

As part of its growing global presence in the world of professional sports and entertainment venues, LG is turning heads by powering some of the most advanced digital signage installations on the planet. From North America to Europe, LG’s industry-leading LED and OLED technologies are redefining the fan experience, offering stunning image quality, dynamic design and flexible integration for arenas hosting everything from concerts to world-class athletic competitions. The latest milestone? Spain’s new Roig Arena in Valencia.

In a bold demonstration of its leadership in visual technology, LG has equipped Valencia’s brand-new Roig Arena with Europe’s highest-resolution video scoreboard, transforming the venue into a cutting-edge digital spectacle. The project, which covers more than 1,700 square meters of LED displays, reaffirms LG’s role as a pioneer in large-format digital signage.

Set to open in September 2025, Roig Arena is poised to become Valencia’s new landmark for culture, sports and entertainment. Promising to deliver the extraordinary year-round, the arena will host concerts, shows and basketball games for up to 20,000 guests. The arena will also serve as the new official home of the Valencia Basket Club, one of Spain’s most prominent basketball teams – making it a dynamic hub of energy and excitement 365 days a year. Beyond entertainment, Roig Arena is part of a broader urban development plan, featuring retail, hospitality and leisure zones that will drive economic activity and job creation.

This project includes plans to install a signage unit with over 500 monitors, which connect to the LED Ribbon to create a 360-degree band around the stadium. Outside, the venue’s northwest façade is now home to the iconic outdoor “El Ojo” (The Eye) screen – an architectural and technological landmark built with ultra-durable outdoor LED tech designed to withstand even the harshest weather conditions.

At the heart of the arena, a jaw-dropping central scoreboard – made up of four flat LED screens with faceted edges – delivers an uninterrupted ultra-high-resolution viewing experience, adjustable in height for different event types. Flanking the sides are two additional 18-square-meter displays optimized for match statistics and in-game content.

Wrapping the venue is LG’s 210-square-meter LED Ribbon, designed to display real-time event visuals, sponsor content and dynamic animations during both sports and live shows. It will officially debut in September during the arena’s grand opening performance “Bravo, Nino,” a musical tribute to legendary Spanish singer Nino Bravo, featuring artists like David Bisbal, Malú and Pablo López.

Also featured is Europe’s largest indoor video wall, measuring 500-square-meter, constructed from high-performance LG display panels. The result is a fully immersive environment that elevates every fan’s in-venue experience.

In the arena’s VIP boxes, luxury is combined with cutting-edge tech through LG’s Transparent OLED screens. The suites will be fitted with custom display solutions, offering guests interactive and personalized content while maintaining sleek, modern aesthetics.1 Taking things a step further, LG has also built a dedicated virtual studio inside the Roig Arena to support the creation of premium digital content. Equipped with a 10-square-meter main screen and modular LED panels, the studio enables hybrid events, virtual broadcasts and interactive experiences – all powered by LG’s high-fidelity visual systems.

With a 45 percent market share in Spain’s professional LED display segment in Q1 2025,2 LG continues to dominate the digital signage space. The Roig Arena project stands as a testament to LG’s ability to combine technological innovation with architectural vision, offering tailor-made solutions that push the limits of design, durability and viewer engagement.

As LG extends its global footprint, the company’s groundbreaking display technologies are transforming arenas, stadiums and entertainment venues worldwide, delivering unforgettable experiences, one spectacular screen at a time.

LG Releases Second-Quarter 2025 Financial Results

Building a Stronger Foundation for Long-Term Qualitative Growth
Through Portfolio Shifts and Operational Resilience

SEOUL, July 25, 2025 — LG Electronics Inc. (LG) today announced consolidated revenue of KRW 20.74 trillion and operating profit of KRW 639.4 billion for the second quarter of 2025.

Both revenue and operating profit declined year-over-year, primarily due to continued global market softness, increased tariff burdens driven by changes in U.S. trade policy, and intensified competition. Rising costs, including logistics expenses, also weighed on overall profitability compared to the same period last year.

Despite these challenges, the Home Appliance Solution (HS), Vehicle Solution (VS) and Eco Solution (ES) Companies delivered strong performance, each posting year-over-year increases in both revenue and operating profit. All three Companies achieved their highest-ever second-quarter results. In particular, the VS Company recorded its best quarterly revenue and operating profit in history.

Meanwhile, the Media Entertainment Solution (MS) Company reported an operating loss, primarily due to lower TV sales and increased marketing spend. However, its webOS platform-based advertising and content business continued to generate stable profits, increasingly contributing to the Company’s overall performance.

Building Stronger Foundation for Qualitative Growth
LG continues to strengthen its business fundamentals by focusing on B2B segments such as vehicle components and HVAC systems, non-hardware businesses including subscription services and the webOS platform, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) operations via its online platform, LGE.COM.

In Q2 2025, B2B revenue – including vehicle, component and smart factory solutions, as well as HVAC – rose 3 percent year-over-year to KRW 6.2 trillion. Revenue from the home appliance subscription business increased 18 percent, reaching KRW 630 billion.

These segments remain central to the company’s ongoing portfolio transformation. The B2B business is less susceptible to demand volatility and benefits from strong entry barriers due to solution-based customer relationships. Non-hardware businesses offer recurring revenue and high margins, while the D2C channel enhances profitability and brand equity.

Q2 2025 Results & Outlook by Company

LG Home Appliance Solution (HS) Company
The HS Company posted second-quarter revenue of KRW 6.59 trillion and operating profit of KRW 439.9 billion, achieving its highest-ever second-quarter performance. Despite soft consumer demand, tariff pressures and rising freight costs, the Company maintained strong global competitiveness. Its dual-track strategy – targeting both premium and mass-market segments – continued to drive solid results. The subscription model business continued its rapid expansion. Operational efficiencies and production optimization helped offset increased costs and support profitability.

Looking ahead, market recovery is expected to remain gradual amid heightened competition. The Company will focus on expanding its subscription and D2C businesses and pursue additional cost improvements to help mitigate U.S. tariff impacts. While logistics cost pressures are projected to ease slightly compared to late 2024 and early 2025, the Company plans to carefully manage marketing expenditures to sustain or exceed last year’s level of operating profit.

LG Media Entertainment Solution (MS) Company
The MS Company posted second-quarter revenue of KRW 4.39 trillion and an operating loss of KRW 191.7 billion, primarily due to softened demand leading to lower TV sales and increased marketing expenses in response.

Going forward, the Company will focus on enhancing operational efficiency across all business segments. It plans to expand its presence in Global South markets such as India, where demand remains relatively strong. Continued growth is also expected in the webOS platform business, with new content offerings in areas such as gaming and digital art.

LG Vehicle Solution (VS) Company
The VS Company generated record second-quarter revenue of KRW 2.85 trillion and operating profit of KRW 126.2 billion – the highest in its history. Performance was supported by a robust order backlog and increased OEM vehicle sales, particularly in Europe.

A strategic shift toward premium in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems significantly enhanced profitability, while operational efficiency improvements in electric vehicle components and lighting systems further bolstered results. Moving forward, the Company will focus on strengthening relationships with key customers and maintaining profitability through ongoing efficiency gains.

People, Planet and Positive Optimism: The Power of Meaningful Connections

What’s it like to live on Rebbenesøya – a remote Norwegian island more than 450 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle?

For Ann Eileen Lennert, an environmental anthropologist deeply passionate about nature, it’s both her sanctuary and workplace. There, she works with a kelp restoration project that explores the bonds between humans and the sea, finding purpose and peace along the way. Although her work often takes her far from her family, Ann has discovered that true connections can thrive – even across great distances.

Through a short documentary-style brand film, Ann’s story takes center stage in LG’s latest campaign, Radio Optimism, which highlights the meaning of genuine connections beyond superficial interactions in an era of growing disconnection.

We sat down with Ann to hear more about her life, her outlook and what “connectedness” truly means.

Q. It’s wonderful to meet you! Can you briefly introduce yourself?
I’m an environmental anthropologist studying how people connect and interact with nature – how that bond can inspire conservation, restoration and a shared sense of responsibility. That we care. My work often takes me to remote areas, like Rebbenesøya, where building community and motivation through these efforts is at the heart of what I do.

Q. LG’s Radio Optimism campaign focuses on connectedness. What drew you to this project?

At first, I thought of “connectedness” simply as staying close to my family while being physically apart. But over time, the idea expanded for me. It includes our connection to nature, to places and to one another.

That’s why the campaign felt so natural to me – it goes beyond superficial interactions and speaks to something much deeper. I honestly didn’t expect this emotional depth from a brand I typically associate with electronics. It was a pleasant and meaningful surprise.

Q. What do you value most in your relationships? What makes a connection truly meaningful, especially when time together is limited?
For me, nothing compares to face-to-face interactions – you can read body language, feel someone’s energy and connect on a deeper level.

I treasure relationships where, even after a long time apart, it feels like no time has passed once we’re together. That’s a real connection.

Family is especially important. Ours is small, and we live far from relatives, so we work hard to stay close, honest and emotionally present despite the distance.

Q. Being away from your children must be challenging. How do you stay connected with them?
It is hard, of course. But I deeply value the time we do spend together and try to keep our connection strong, even when we’re apart.

I involve my children in my work – whether that’s fieldwork, sailing or even free diving. Sharing these experiences helps us stay in sync and grow closer, even when I am away.

One of my favorite moments in the LG film was hearing the personalized song my children helped create through Radio Optimism. They mentioned many kind things of how they view me, not to mention my “embarrassing llama sweater” and “kelp earrings” – it was so sweet and funny, and a real reflection of how close we are as a family.

Q. Does music play a big role in your life?
Absolutely! Music sets the tone for our moods and memories. We have special playlists for things like summer holidays, and I often start my day with a happy song.

It’s amazing how a song can instantly transport you back to a specific moment in time and reconnect you to memories.

Q. If you could create a personalized Radio Optimism song for someone, who would it be?
I’d love to create one for my mother. She’s a big music lover and is going through a tough time right now. A song would be a heartfelt way to support and connect with her.

I’d also make one for my children – something playful about our shared memories, maybe even teasing them a little about who should take out the trash or empty the dishwasher. I believe in celebrating small, joyful moments however we can.

Q. Your optimism really shines through when you talk about your work and family. How do you nurture it?
I’ve been called a “ray of optimism”, and I think it comes from spending time in nature – and sharing those moments with my family.

Nature teaches you perspective, humility and awe. And living in a close-knit community like Rebbenesøya helps too. My neighbors are kind, and there’s a deep sense of mutual care. We look out for one another.

Even on difficult days, I look for what I call a “positive prize” – something small to lift me up, whether it’s cooking, listening to music or simply going for a walk.

Q. What’s next for you? Any projects or plans you’re excited about?
I want to continue exploring how connecting with nature and participating in citizen science activities can change people’s perceptions and care towards the environment. One of my biggest dreams is to establish underwater gardens, inspired by Korea’s Haenyeo! Learning from their wisdom and exploring what might be possible even in places like the Arctic Circle would be incredibly exciting.

This kind of work fuels me. It’s all about rebuilding our bonds and creating meaningful connections: with people, with nature and with a common goal. I believe this can create new values, experiences and memories, and I want our children and grandchildren to have these memories and connections too. That’s where I find happiness and motivation.

Life’s Good when we’re connected with a song.
