LG Smart Monitor Swing Redefines Spatial Boundaries in Today’s Dynamic Business Environments

The way we work, learn and shop is changing fast. With hybrid work becoming the norm, education going digital and the lines between online and offline experiences blurring, there’s a growing need for technology that can keep up. Businesses today need tools that are flexible, easy to use and ready to adapt to whatever the day brings.

That’s exactly why we created the LG Smart Monitor Swing (model 32U889SA) – an all-in-one display engineered for modern enterprises. It’s a versatile smart platform that works without a PC, so you can use it anywhere, anytime, to boost productivity, improve communication and create better experiences for customers, students and teams.

Let’s take a look at how it’s making a difference across different spaces.

Retail: Overcoming In-Store Communication Hurdles
In retail – particularly in fashion and beauty – it’s all about catching the customer’s eye and sharing the right information at the right time. But we know that installing large, fixed displays isn’t always easy in busy stores.

The LG Smart Monitor Swing directly addresses these issues. Its vibrant 4K (3,840 x 2,160) resolution display serves as a dynamic digital catalog, showcasing product details and promotions with stunning clarity. Furthermore, its movable stand overcomes installation barriers, allowing for flexible placement anywhere in-store. This enables retailers to strategically position the display to capture customer attention or instantly repurpose a space for a live commerce broadcast – maximizing both engagement and floor space.

Hospitals: A Dynamic Information Hub for Patients and Visitors
Hospitals are busy places, and keeping patients and visitors informed can be a challenge. Static posters and signs can be missed, and updating them takes time.

With the Smart Monitor Swing, you can easily share schedules, health notices or service information in real time. Place it at the front desk to welcome visitors, in waiting areas as a digital bulletin board or even use it as a central hub for teleconsultations. And because it’s mobile, you can move it wherever it’s needed most – no more being tied to one spot.

Education: Transforming Passive Viewing into Interactive Learning
A common challenge in educational settings, from kindergartens to senior classrooms, is fostering sustained student engagement and enabling meaningful real-time interaction. The Swing transforms the learning process by creating a more collaborative and effective environment.

Its adjustable, high-resolution screen provides an optimal viewing experience for remote learning and group activities. Powered by webOS, the smart monitor lets students and teachers directly interact with educational applications and whiteboard functions via its touch-sensitive screen, turning passive viewing into an active, participatory experience.

Workspaces: Redefining Collaboration and Personal Productivity
In small offices or meeting rooms, space is precious. The Smart Monitor Swing can be your team’s central hub for sharing ideas, running video calls or working on cloud-based apps.

With its 31.5-inch 4K screen, it’s perfect for sharing content with small groups. Its built-in webOS platform further enhances collaboration by allowing teams to access home office apps, including video conferencing apps2 and cloud-based applications – all without needing an external device such as a laptop or PC.

The Swing’s versatility also introduces a new way of working for professionals who value a clutter-free desk, such as fashion designers who need space for physical samples. Its unique, independent stand liberates the entire desk surface for a clean workspace. The large display, combined with versatile tilt, swivel and pivot functions, makes it easy to hold spontaneous discussions over materials, fostering a more dynamic and interactive workflow.

Sports & Entertainment: From Simple Simulators to Premium Experiences
Sports and entertainment venues often face space constraints that make it difficult to install or reposition large displays. The Swing provides a mobile and flexible solution, delivering large, high-resolution screens that can adapt to different environments. In screen golf facilities, for example, its innovative swinging design enables optimal positioning and effortless repositioning. Featuring stunning 4K resolution, the Swing delivers a more immersive player experience than the low-resolution screens found in many simulators, rendering highly detailed course graphics. Powered by webOS, it also supports seamless customization of club branding, promotional events and time-based announcements.

The versatility extends to various hospitality applications. In hotels and VIP lounges, it ensures vivid visuals for branded content, promotions and event information. When placed in business hotel rooms, the monitor allows guests to work conveniently, using webOS apps to maintain productivity without a PC.

For us, the LG Smart Monitor Swing isn’t just another screen – it’s a core enterprise solution that helps businesses work smarter, communicate better and make the most of their space. And we’re not stopping here. We’ll keep creating innovative display solutions that break free from the limits of traditional monitors, so you can keep adapting, growing and thriving.

Step Into Tomorrow: A Peek Inside the Future of the AI Home at LG’s IFA 2025 Booth

This year’s IFA in Berlin may be over, but LG’s booth left a lasting impression. Under the theme AI Appliances Orchestra, we presented our comprehensive vision for the future of home living – a future where LG ThinQ AI enables everyday appliances to seamlessly connect, adapt and evolve to make your life better.

At the core of it all was LG AI Home – a connected suite of appliances and services powered by our unique Affectionate Intelligence. Designed with European lifestyles in mind, LG AI Home is a fully integrated system where products communicate with each other to improve performance, save time and energy, and provide you with the personalized care and comfort you deserve.

Key elements of LG ThinQ AI include ThinQ UP, which lets you customize your appliances with features that fit your needs, and ThinQ Care, which delivers proactive maintenance to help keep your devices running at their best. This empathetic AI elevates home life by putting your happiness – and the health of the planet – first, prioritizing convenience and sustainability at every turn.

The LG booth was divided into several discrete zones, each showing a different aspect of our AI Home vision. The Hero Zone, located at the booth entrance, served as the centerpiece – illustrating how our appliances work together like an orchestra, with ThinQ AI as the conductor, bringing harmony to your home.

In the Fit & Max Zone, we recreated European-style living spaces to show how effortlessly our innovations can fit into real homes. Perfect for compact spaces, the lineup included kitchen and living solutions designed to save space while maximizing capacity – like our new refrigerator with a Zero Clearance Hinge.

The AI Core Tech Zone highlighted the advanced AI technologies behind our latest Better Life innovations. In laundry, we introduced the AI-driven HeatPump WasherDryer, delivering a complete wash-and-dry cycle with an “A” energy rating. Features such as AI Wash™ senses fabric type and weight, while specialized cycles help reduce the amount of microplastics shed by clothing during washing, protecting both you and the water supply.

Over in the AI Home Zone, visitors saw LG AI Home in action through real-life scenarios. Live demonstrations made clear the many benefits of our smart ThinQ ON-powered ecosystem, where you can use voice commands, automated routines and personalized settings to create the home lifestyle you’ve always dreamed of.

We also introduced Spielraum, our AI mobility solution that extends the smart home into vehicles, resulting in a seamless, connected experience that lets you take the comforts of home on the road with you.

Vacuum cleaning solutions were another highlight of our IFA showcase. The new generation of vacuum cleaners we revealed included smarter robot vacuums, a built-in docking station with automated capabilities

The LG innovations displayed at IFA 2025 also reflected our continued focus on personalization and energy efficiency; two of the most important considerations for customers seeking to buy new home solutions, both in Europe and around the world.

Our commitment to sustainability was recognized at the first-ever IFA Innovation Awards, where we received multiple honors in the home appliance category for our AI-powered living solutions.

For those who managed to visit our IFA booth, either in person or online, the takeaway was clear: LG is actively redefining the role of home appliances. No longer just tools for getting chores done, they are fast becoming intuitive partners that help people to live smarter, more comfortably and more sustainably.

As IFA showed, Life’s Good right now, and with LG taking the lead, it’s only going to get better.

LG Unveils World’s First 6K Monitor With Thunderbolt™ 5 for Professional Creators

A Future-Proof Display for Professional Video Editors and Designers, Delivering 6K
Resolution, Precise Colors and High-Speed Connectivity

SEOUL, Sep. 30, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) is introducing the UltraFine evo 6K (model 32U990A), the world’s first 6K monitor with Thunderbolt™ 5 connectivity. Debuting under LG’s new UltraFine evo brand of premium, ultra-high-resolution monitors, the 32U990A is purpose-built for professional video editors, graphic designers and other creators working with demanding, data-intensive workflows. Combining ultra-sharp 6K resolution (6,144 x 3,456) with exceptional color accuracy and high-speed connectivity, it empowers users to work faster and smarter.

The 32U990A – the first-ever 6K display with Thunderbolt™ 5 support – has already earned a CES 2025 Innovation Award and the iF Design Award 2025. Building on the legacy of LG UltraFine series – a line of 5K displays optimized for Mac devices – the UltraFine evo brand raises the bar for professional-grade displays even higher, as clearly demonstrated by the superb performance and impressive capabilities of this inaugural model.

LG’s premium monitor is designed to meet the needs of creative professionals, providing flawless image fidelity and next-level text clarity. Its 32-inch 6K HiDPI display boasts a pixel density of 224 PPI, delivering sharper, cleaner text and precise visual details. Factory-calibrated for consistent color expression with macOS, the 6K UltraFine evo covers 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and 99.5 percent of Adobe RGB, ensuring faithful image reproduction for video and image editing as well as print production. VESA DisplayHDR™ 600-certified, it maintains the consistent brightness and true colors required for detailed graphics and video work. Additionally, Studio Mode* featuring three color preset options for Mac devices will be introduced.

Designed with professional users in mind, the 32U990A’s 6K resolution delivers 2.56 times more pixels than a UHD 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160) monitor. When two 6K UltraFine evo monitors are set up in a dual configuration, users can achieve a massive workspace with nearly five times the screen real estate of a single UHD 4K monitor. A particular advantage for Thunderbolt™ based systems, this multi-monitor setup is easily facilitated via daisy-chaining, further enhancing multitasking efficiency and optimizing digital workflows.

The new monitor also serves as a professional hub with built-in KVM switching and multi-port connectivity, enabling seamless operation across Mac- and Windows-based systems. This allows creators to view mobile content in the optimal format while simultaneously working on production tasks.

Thunderbolt™ 5 compatibility ensures effortless integration with Mac devices while serving as a high-speed hub for SSDs, eGPUs and other peripherals. Offering up to 120Gbps unidirectional data transfer – three times faster than Thunderbolt 4 – it supports real-time 4K rendering and rapid transfer of 8K RAW video files, making the 32U990A ideal for AI-powered video editing and upscaling workflows.

Visually striking as well as powerful, the monitor’s 4-side Virtually Borderless design delivers a clean, minimalist aesthetic and immersive viewing experience. Ergonomic tilt and pivot adjustments allow for comfortable long-session editing and make it ideal for vertical-format content such as YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels. Thunderbolt™ 5 also helps reduce cable clutter, keeping workspaces neat while enabling flexible multi-monitor configurations.

“With many video editors now managing high-volume, multi-project workflows, the need for ultra-high-resolution displays with precise color and fast connectivity has never been greater,” said YS Lee, head of the IT Business at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “A future-proof display of uncompromising quality, the new UltraFine evo 6K more than meets this need, helping professional creators work faster, smarter and deliver their best results.”

The UltraFine evo 6K monitor will begin its rollout in late September in South Korea and Japan, with a global launch including the U.S. and Europe to follow in October.

[Executive Corner] Leading the Game: How LG Became Spain’s #1 in Professional LED Technology at Sports Venues

When fans walk into a stadium, they expect more than just a game or a show – they expect to feel part of something bigger. In Spain, this new era of immersive sports and entertainment has two shining examples: the Riyahd Air Metropolitano in Madrid and the Roig Arena in Valencia. At both venues, we at LG are helping write a new chapter in the digital transformation of sports, leading a technological revolution that redefines how every moment is experienced.

What sets us apart is not only our leadership as the No. 1 provider of professional LED technology in Spain,* but also our ability to turn every project into a unique digital ecosystem. We don’t just install screens – we create living platforms where image, software and infrastructure work together to make every corner of a venue come alive.

Riyahd Air Metropolitano: An Icon in Transformation
In Madrid, our collaboration with Atlético de Madrid has transformed the Riyahd Air Metropolitano into a stadium that breathes innovation. The exterior and interior now form a dynamic canvas of light and color, amplifying the atmosphere of every moment.

At the top, our state-of-the-art Mesh LED envelops the stadium in a 360-degree visual spectacle, amplifying the excitement of every goal and every play and making the roar of the fans even more powerful and unforgettable.

Roig Arena: A New Global Benchmark
In Valencia, the Roig Arena was envisioned as one of the most advanced arenas in the world. At the heart stands our technological gem: the high-resolution video scoreboard. This giant screen, bearing the LG seal of innovation, offers precise sharpness and color uniformity that allow every replay, every stat and every detail of the game to be seen with astonishing clarity throughout the stands. But it does much more than display scores – it syncs with lighting, sound and dynamic content to turn every key moment into a cinematic experience.

Around it, the perimeter LED ribbon and the iconic outdoor screen, The Eye, complete a digital ecosystem that extends the excitement beyond the venue, placing Valencia at the forefront of Europe as a venue for top-level competitions and events.

Digitalization as a Driver of Change
In both Madrid and Valencia, we’re showing that digitalizing stadiums isn’t just about impressive visuals – it’s about smarter management, new ways to communicate and deeper connections with audiences. These venues are flexible platforms that can adapt to matches, concerts, cultural shows or corporate events. And for sponsors, they open new doors to engage with the public in more personal, real-time ways.

Shaping the Future Through Leadership
In recent years, we’ve been proud to contribute to nearly thirty sports venues in Spain, from stadiums and arenas to the Rafa Nadal Academy and local gyms. With a 45 percent share of the professional LED market in Spain in the first quarter of 2025,* and the trust of eight out of ten major Spanish stadiums, we are not just equipping venues – we are redefining the live event experience.

However, this leadership isn’t built on technology alone. It comes from people – the talent, passion and dedication of nearly 240 professionals at LG Spain. From engineering to sales, logistics to marketing, every department has played a vital role in making these projects a reality.

Each installation is a milestone that brings Spain a little closer to the global forefront of sports and entertainment technology. Our expertise also extends beyond Spain, to iconic venues like Wembley Stadium in London, Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt and Jan Breydel Stadium in Belgium.

At LG, we believe life is richer when emotions are lived intensely. That’s why our mission is to make every fan, in every seat, feel that Lifes Good and why we believe the future of sports and entertainment venues is already here.

The extensive installation is engineered to elevate live sports into fully immersive fan experiences while strengthening LG’s leadership in the global signage market.

The installation spans 1,742 square meters, encircling the stadium’s uppermost tier with a sweeping ribbon of vivid, dynamic visuals that deliver real-time match information and energize the crowd from every angle.

This design enables seamless installation on high-rise structures or curved surfaces, while delivering exceptional brightness, sharp contrast and clear visibility even on bright days. Low heat emission and reduced power consumption further enhance energy efficiency.

The Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium also features over 3,000 square meters of additional LG digital signage, strategically placed at entrances, concourses, the player tunnel and the press center. Together, these displays create a unified visual environment that builds anticipation before kickoff and sustains excitement until the final whistle.

LG’s sports signage portfolio spans nearly 200 countries, from iconic arenas to local training facilities. Beyond ribbon boards, the company offers large-scale scoreboards to small-format displays – all supported by the LG Business Cloud platform for remote management, targeted content delivery and new advertising revenue opportunities.

In Spain, LG supplies LED signage to approximately 80 percent of professional football stadiums, highlighting its market dominance. Its technology also powers some of the world’s most celebrated venues, including Twickenham Stadium and Wembley Stadium in the UK, as well as leading stadiums in Germany, Belgium, the U.S. and across Europe and North America.

Home Swing Home: Redefining My Desk Décor With LG’s Smart Monitor Swing

Great design doesn’t stand still. It moves with you, blending seamlessly into your daily routine and elevating ordinary spaces into places of inspiration. That’s why we created the LG Smart Monitor Swing – a monitor that flows between productivity and relaxation, turning a focused workspace into a cozy spot to unwind. True to its name, the Swing moves freely, letting you tilt, swivel and adjust the angle or distance to fit your lifestyle.

Closer For Work, Farther For Play
Why “Swing”? Because its name says it all – freedom and versatility. A desk is no longer just a place for work. Swing boosts productivity when you need to focus, and just as easily transforms the space into a cozy, relaxing corner when it’s time to unwind.

Work Smarter With Precision and Clarity
The moment you get closer to Swing is when it’s time to work. Its Dynamic Tone Mapping, which delivers a wide view and true-to-original visuals, makes it an ideal choice for those who frequently edit photos and videos. The large 32-inch 4K UHD (3840×2160) IPS touchscreen offers exceptional detail, providing greater satisfaction for creators who demand precision. What makes it even better is Swing’s flexibility–it can be adjusted freely to fit your body, allowing you to maintain the most comfortable posture at all times.

This balance of power and precision is exactly what creators value. @jennyhomemood described the Swing’s image quality as “almost like using an oversized smartphone,” adding that its clarity made it especially useful for video editing and monitoring.

Likewise, @kim___hihi__7878 highlighted its easy mobility, noting how she uses it seamlessly in the living room, kitchen and bedroom. She especially praised the touchscreen and mirroring features, which allow her to project a small laptop screen onto the larger display at eye level for a far more comfortable experience.

Smartphones have made us fluent in touch. Swing takes that same ease and brings it to your desk, with button-free, intuitive control that feels natural and effortlessly convenient.

Relax at a Distance, Control With Ease
Moving seamlessly between the living room, kitchen and bedroom, the Swing also fits naturally into any lifestyle after working hours. For @haneul__home, the Swing fits perfectly into her lifestyle. From working at her sewing machine, to checking recipes in the kitchen, to relaxing with a movie, she found it useful everywhere. She also noted how it enhances her home décor, blending seamlessly into any space while adding a premium touch.

Even after work, the Swing stays with you. Sometimes all you need is a little distance – and Swing makes it effortless to move closer or farther with smooth, fluid motion. With the included remote, convenience is always within reach. Plus, the LG ThinQ app turns your smartphone into a controller, so there’s no need to carry an extra remote from room to room.

Tilt and Swivel to Follow Your Eyes, Match Your Posture
Swing puts people at the center. You don’t have to adjust yourself to the monitor – the monitor adjusts to you. With finely tuned joints, Swing follows your gaze and adapts to your posture, giving you the freedom to set it exactly the way you want.

My Personalized Tilt – Comfort, Even When You Lie Back
This adaptability is what makes Swing feel like a personal companion in daily life. To @jennyhomemood, this adaptability makes the Swing feels like a personal companion, keeping her company at the table when eating alone or adjusting to different angles during workouts. Whether lying in bed or sitting at your desk, the tilt function allows you to change the angle until it feels just right, ensuring your neck and shoulders stay comfortable.

Whether lying down or sitting up, Swing adjusts to the angle that feels just right. Thanks to its tilt function, your neck and shoulders stay comfortable no matter the situation.

Swivel with You, Share the View
Watching a movie with family, working alongside a friend or sharing a screen during a meeting – this is where Swing’s swivel function shines. No need to drag a chair or shift your posture. Just give the screen a gentle turn, and you’re ready to share.

Its smooth, effortless swivel not only makes collaboration more efficient but also brings people closer – strengthening bonds with colleagues, friends and family alike.

Sit, Stand or Lounge, Comfort Tailored to You
The Swing offers height adjustment of up to 329mm, providing comfort that perfectly matches your eye level and posture. Use it while sitting at a desk, standing, lying down or even sitting on the floor with children.

Especially for those accustomed to floor seating – common in Korean homes – the Swing adapts beautifully. Whether leaning back on a sofa or sitting low to the ground, the monitor adjusts effortlessly to your eye line. With this flexibility, Swing’s appeal only grows stronger, making it the perfect fit for any lifestyle.

Reflecting on her own experience, @haneul__home noted that being able to adjust the angle and height made a tangible difference: she felt less strain on her shoulders and neck, and appreciated that the monitor could be set at the ideal eye level not only for herself but also for her children.

The right height alone can make a big difference in reducing body fatigue. With its flexible comfort, Swing adapts not only to work and relaxation but also to every member of the family – from small children to adults – making it the perfect fit for everyone.

Desk To Task, Work To Life – All With Free Beauty
While many products may look similar on the surface, Swing stands apart with design details that go beyond what meets the eye. Co-created by LG’s designers and engineers, it reflects a level of precision and craftsmanship that becomes more evident the longer you use it. The seamless harmony of function and design elevates the quality of everyday life.

Swing proves why LG is the true pioneer of the mobile stand category. Countless reviews highlight the difference: “You can tell it’s LG just by the stand – others are mere imitations,” and “It’s the attention to every tiny detail that sets it on another level.”

Echoing this, @ijuyeon157 emphasized how effortlessly the Swing moves around the house thanks to its five-wheel base. She praised its clean, minimalist white design that brightens up her home, and its flexibility to adapt to different needs – from her son’s studies to her own movie time. For her, Swing was the only product that could adjust so precisely to every situation.

Saying that life changes with just a new monitor is no exaggeration. The LG Smart Monitor Swing is the pinnacle of desk-terior – elevating not only function but also every task beyond the desk.

Now it’s your turn to create a space that feels truly yours. Why not make it a “Home Swing Home”?

LG Reaffirms Universal Value of Life Through AI Powered Brand Campaign

LG’s Radio Optimism Campaign Inspires People to Share Their Love With Family
and Loved Ones Through One-of-a-Kind AI Songs

SEOUL, Sep. 25, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) today announced the success of its AI-powered Radio Optimism campaign, which revealed a universal truth: despite the rapid advances in technology, love and gratitude toward family and loved ones remain life’s foremost priorities.

Available in six languages, the creative platform inspired people globally to create more than 700,000 personalized songs. These AI-generated tracks – listened to and shared over 1.5 million times – underscored the enduring importance of human connection across cultures.

Designed to counter the sense of disconnection often associated with social media, Radio Optimism invited users to write a message to a loved one, select a genre and vibe and generate a one-of-a-kind AI song. By turning music into a heartfelt gesture, the campaign brought LG’s Life’s Good brand promise into the digital spaces where people most often connect.

Messages of love proved most prominent, appearing in over 30 percent of the songs, followed by messages of gratitude and encouragement. Family emerged as the most frequent recipient, followed by friends, reaffirming that when it comes to care and affection, people turn first to those closest to them.

The campaign drew an overwhelming response, generating over 30 million social engagements worldwide and 2.4 billion views of its content. Partnerships with global and local influencers amplified its reach, including Australian father-daughter duo Ben and Zara, who created a special birthday song for Ben’s son, and Brazilian creator Jessie Shen, who created a touching song for her partner.

The campaign also captured unique cultural moments, such as sports fans crafting team anthems and pet owners dedicating songs to their companions, illustrating the evolving ways people express and share what matters most.

“Through this creative campaign, we believe we helped people rediscover the enduring values that remain unchanged even in times of change and volatility,” said Kim Hyo-eun, head of LG’s Brand Management Division. “It deeply resonated with people worldwide, reflecting the lasting value of Life’s Good. We will continue to engage with them, upholding this promise and inspiring optimism for a better life.”

The Radio Optimism campaign demonstrates how AI, when used thoughtfully, can strengthen emotional bonds in the digital age. By enabling users to create personalized songs trained on properly licensed music from original artists, LG upheld its commitment to responsible innovation while fostering a global movement of optimism and meaningful connection.

[Executive Corner] Redefining the Road with ACP and AI: How LG, Xbox and Zoom Are Powering the In-Car Experience

As president of the LG Vehicle Solution (VS) Company, IAA Mobility 2025 gave me the opportunity to present our vision to a global audience. I had the privilege of sharing the stage with Chris Jo, senior vice president and head of LG’s webOS Platform Business Center, along with our partners from Xbox and Zoom. Together, we are defining what it takes to transform the car into a true living space on wheels.

LG Automotive Content Platform: Driving the Future of In-Cabin Connectivity
As Chris Jo highlighted, we have extended webOS – trusted across 240 million devices worldwide – into vehicles with our webOS-based Automotive Content Platform (ACP). This enables automakers to deliver rich multimedia experiences such as OTT streaming, cloud gaming and video conferencing on a global scale. With full UI/UX customization and new revenue opportunities, the webOS platform is moving beyond the living room and shaping the future of the mobility ecosystem.

Xbox: Cloud Gaming Hits the Road
For Xbox, this partnership is an exciting moment, finding a new way to bring the joy of gaming to more people. Chris Lee, Vice President of Marketing at Xbox, noted the challenge of bringing the Xbox experience from TVs into cars, particularly around performance and seamless integration.

By leveraging our ACP, Xbox delivers a quality in-car gaming experience via its popular cloud gaming service, while LG manages the essential integration and certification work. This means passengers can access the same trusted Xbox Cloud Gaming service wherever they travel – during a charging stop or long road trip. Chris described it as making the journey “not only more entertaining but supporting the flexibility players expect from Xbox,” and I believe this underscores the true value of collaboration.

Zoom: Meetings on Wheels
Brendan Ittelson, Chief Ecosystem Officer at Zoom, spoke about creating a consistent collaboration experience across different vehicles – a vision that naturally aligns with ours. By integrating directly with our webOS-based ACP, Zoom can deliver updates and improvements as soon as they’re ready without waiting on OEM software cycles.

Drivers can join meetings safely in voice-only mode, and passengers can attend camera-enabled video calls, while Zoom AI Companion automatically captures summaries and action items in the background. As Brendan explained, “The in-cabin experience is quickly shifting from passive to purposeful,” becoming a place where people can stay connected and productive without sacrificing safety.

Affectionate Intelligence for the Road Ahead
Looking at the bigger picture, the future of in-vehicle innovation will be shaped by AI – what we call “Affectionate Intelligence” – that not only understands users but also seamlessly integrates functions for safety, entertainment, communication and comfort. To transform vehicles into true extensions of living spaces, LG must take on the role of orchestrator, working closely with our content partners and automakers to create a genuinely human-centered mobility ecosystem.

My key takeaway from the panel was that each of us – LG, Xbox and Zoom – brings distinct strengths to the table. Xbox is taking a bold step into automotive gaming, Zoom is working to redefine productivity on the move and LG is driving toward an AI-powered mobility ecosystem. Guided by these shared goals, the path forward is clear.

With webOS at the core and trusted partners by our side, we are accelerating platform-driven growth in mobility. The future of the car won’t just be about transportation – it will be about creating experiences that connect, entertain and empower us wherever the road leads.

Where Art Meets Technology: Tenka Taihei Brings the Canvas to Life With LG SIGNATURE OLED T

What if technology didn’t just support creativity, but became the canvas itself? In Hong Kong’s iconic West Kowloon Cultural District, that vision came to life through Tenka Taihei, a one-of-a-kind Art Tech x Music performance held at Freespace. At the heart of the experience was LG SIGNATURE OLED T, the world’s first wireless transparent OLED TV, transforming innovation into a living, breathing part of the show.

Tenka Taihei, meaning “Peace Under Heaven,” evokes a sense of harmony, stability and hope for the future. It’s a fitting theme in an ever-shifting world. Conceived by musician and creative director Kendy Suen, the performance blends live music, digital calligraphy, projection visuals and interactive sound installations into one immersive experience.

For Suen, the transparent nature of LG SIGNATURE OLED T was more than a technical feature – it was symbolic of the harmony between technology and human connection. “Like a protective yet open fortress,” he explains, “it lets audiences see beyond barriers and connect with the broader world,” reflecting the delicate balance of strength and openness at the heart of Tenka Taihei.

This collaboration is part of LG’s broader belief in “brave optimism” – that even in uncertain times, innovation and creativity can spark hope, foster connection and inspire joy. Through the power of Tenka Taihei, LG explores how technology can move beyond functionality to become a medium for storytelling and cultural exchange, demonstrating that the most powerful innovations enrich human experiences.

As part of the performance, the LG SIGNATURE OLED T became a dynamic digital canvas that blurred the boundaries between the physical and digital worlds. Visual artist Moon Hung, renowned for his real-time artistic creations, used the transparent OLED in harmony with projection mapping and an interactive soundscape, crafting visuals that appeared to float effortlessly in mid-air.

Audiences could take in every intricate detail up close, even in scenes composed of more than two million individual radicals. The screen’s transparent nature allowed them to see both the calligraphy performance and the surrounding space at once, creating the illusion that on-screen visuals were seamlessly integrated into the environment. The result was an elegant synchrony of art, sound and technology – a multi-layered journey where viewers could see sound and hear calligraphy.

The performance left many audience members in awe of its seamless fusion of art and technology. The transparent OLED screen, in particular, captivated their curiosity and admiration, enveloping them in mesmerizing visuals that appeared to drift effortlessly through the space.

LG Advances HVAC R&D Leadership Through Co-Research With Global Universities

Collaborative R&D Driving Development of LG’s Latest Innovations in
High-performance, Sustainable HVAC Solutions

SEOUL, Sep. 18, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG), in partnership with some of the world’s foremost universities, is delivering new innovations in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). Through a robust program of R&D, LG and its collaborators are developing advanced technologies that help deliver better efficiency and sustainability, supporting the company’s vision for a Better Life for All.

One highlight of LG’s dedication to driving heat pump R&D is the Global Heat Pump Consortium, which comprises several regional clusters, including the European Consortium for Advanced Heat Pump Research (ECAHR). Established in June 2024, ECAHR recently released research on LG’s Air-to-Air Heat Pump (AAHP). The study, conducted in Norway, focused on real-world tests that demonstrated the high efficiency of LG’s AAHP. Findings suggest that LG’s R32-based AAHP system can consume up to 90 percent less energy and reduce carbon emissions by about 99 percent compared to conventional oil-fired boilers.

The study was published in last month’s edition of REHVA Journal, one of Europe’s leading HVAC publications. This joint research between LG and its Nordic university partner, Oslo Metropolitan University, indicates the performance and potential economic benefits of LG’s AAHP, which is designed for the cold climates of Northern Europe. Based on the findings, LG plans to launch a new AAHP product targeting markets in Northern Europe later this year.

Along with developing next-generation technologies for advanced HVAC products, LG is working together with top universities to resolve various customer pain points. For example, the company has been conducting research with South Korea’s Yonsei University into methods for eliminating common indoor allergens. Their work has shown that the application of photocatalyzed titanium dioxide reduces the presence of various airborne inhalants associated with allergic reactions. LG is set to carry out more detailed studies with the goal of developing an air care system that can effectively capture and remove different types of indoor allergens.

In addition, LG and China’s Tianjin University jointly investigated the long-term performance of air purifiers in typical Chinese households, especially kitchens where oil-based cooking is common. Over nearly a year, the research team utilized ThinQ data analysis to evaluate customers’ living spaces and usage patterns.

The findings revealed that the filter’s ability to remove particulate matter (PM) dropped sharply in environments with high concentrations of oil fumes, prompting LG to develop filter technologies that maintain performance in challenging conditions. The study also monitored changes in harmful gas removal performance and found that LG’s integrated dust and deodorization filter worked nearly twice as fast and had double the capacity compared to conventional deodorization filters. These upgrades have already been applied to LG’s latest air purifiers.

LG has also conducted a variety of research with the University of Florida on how to reduce harmful airborne substances resulting from forest fires. One of the key discoveries of these studies relates to the formation of secondary organic aerosols (SOA)*. By combining physical experiments with modeling data, the research shows the impact that different environmental variables have on SOA formation. The results have been published in renowned academic journals, including Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics and Science of the Total Environment.

“Through close collaboration with leading universities, we are advancing technologies that enhance HVAC energy efficiency and performance to create healthier, more sustainable living environments,” said Oh Sai-kee, head of the LG ES R&D Lab.

A Screen for Every Vision: How LG’s UltraGear Won Over Today’s Most Demanding Users

In the world of high-performance displays, two tribes have long stood apart. On one side, the elite gamers, for whom victory is measured in milliseconds and every frame counts. On the other, the creative professionals, for whom color is not a preference but a science. For a long time, the idea that a single brand could truly master both disciplines seemed unlikely.

That’s why we’re especially proud that the readers of Digital Trends – one of the most discerning tech communities online – voted us Best Monitor Brand of 2025. To us, this recognition means more than an award. It shows that we’ve earned the trust of two of the toughest audiences out there by delivering displays that don’t ask people to compromise – whether they’re chasing a win in-game or chasing perfection in their craft.

Bridging Two Worlds: A Vision Validated by Users
Historically, a monitor that excelled for one of these groups was often a compromise for the other, but Digital Trends’ readers recognized that LG consistently bridges this gap. The publication praised the brand’s unique ability to serve both markets, noting that even a legacy model showcases this dual excellence.

Highlighting the brand’s long-standing philosophy, Digital Trends wrote, “Take the LG 27GN950, a monitor from several years ago. It’s a 4K gaming monitor… but more than that, its color accuracy is so on-point that it will serve professionals well in day-to-day work.” This core strength – engineering a gaming monitor with technology so excellent that it also meets professional standards – is the foundation for LG’s latest innovations.

“If you’re editing video, tweaking an image or anything else that requires you to be able to spot even the slightest shade variances in an image,” Digital Trends concluded, “LG is the brand for you.”

It’s this very philosophy – that a gaming monitor’s underlying technology should be so excellent that it also meets the exacting standards of creative professionals – that forms the foundation for our latest flagship lineups.

The Story Behind the Screen: The Two Pillars of UltraGear Innovation
When we designed the UltraGear lineup, we focused on breaking down barriers between the user and their digital world. That meant two things: delivering immersive, expansive screens that fuel productivity, and ensuring visuals so accurate that they meet the highest creative standards. These principles are perfectly showcased in two key models from the lineup.

The LG UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor GX9 (45GX950A) is built for immersion on a whole new scale. With world-first 45-inch 5K2K (5120×2160) screen* and dramatic 800R curvature, it surrounds gamers with an incredible field of view. Its Dual-Mode feature offers the versatility to switch between the breathtaking detail of 5K2K at 165Hz for graphic-rich worlds and the blistering speed of WFHD at 330Hz for competitive action. For creators, that same 21:9 screen provides 50 percent more space than a standard 32:9 monitor, while its 125 PPI ensures razor-sharp text clarity. With 98.5 percent DCI-P3 color coverage and DisplayHDR™ True Black 400 certification, it delivers the cinematic color and deep blacks needed for high-fidelity creative work – making it a massive digital canvas perfect for laying out long video timelines or managing multiple applications.

Then there’s the UltraGear 27GX700A, which represents an unwavering commitment to visual fidelity. For gamers, its QHD (2560×1440) resolution, blazing-fast 280Hz refresh rate and near-instantaneous 0.03ms (GtG) response time deliver a perfect balance of detail and speed. For creators, its groundbreaking fourth-generation Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel provides professional-grade accuracy. Its color performance is impressive, covering 99.5 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut for vibrant, true-to-life visuals. It has been recognized with a “Perfect Color Consistency” certification from UL Solutions and “100 percent Color Fidelity” certification from Intertek, ensuring accurate and uniform color expression across every frame and brightness level. The monitor’s VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 500 certification and a peak brightness of up to 1,500 nits reveal the most subtle details in both the darkest and brightest parts of an image – preserving the full dynamic range of a photograph or a cinematic scene.

It’s this powerful combination – the versatile, expansive productivity of the 45GX950A and the uncompromising color fidelity of the 27GX700A – that defines the UltraGear lineup. It’s why a brand celebrated by the world’s most competitive gamers is the same one trusted by creative professionals.

A Commitment to User-Centric Innovation
We see the Digital Trends award not as a finish line, but as motivation to keep pushing forward. Gamers and creators are two of the most demanding communities in the world – and rightly so. They expect nothing less than speed, precision and authenticity.

At LG, we’re committed to giving them just that. With UltraGear, our goal is simple: to build a screen for every vision, so that whatever you’re creating – or competing for – you have the right tools to bring it to life.

From Check-In to Take-Off: How LG Chillers Ensure Reliable Airport Cooling

From office towers to shopping malls – and even nuclear power plants – chillers are the unsung heroes of climate control. But when it comes to airports, the challenge is on a whole different level. These massive hubs run 24/7, with thousands of people moving through terminals, baggage areas, control rooms and retail spaces. That means the cooling systems have to be rock-solid, efficient and ready for anything.

At LG, we’ve made it our mission to deliver that kind of performance. Our high-efficiency chillers are designed to keep indoor conditions comfortable while making the most of every bit of energy. And airports around the world are proving just how reliable our solutions can be in some of the most demanding environments out there.

We know that no two airports are exactly alike, so we tailor our cooling solutions to each location. Our lineup includes Absorption, Centrifugal, Water-Cooled Screw, Air-Cooled Screw and Inter Scroll Chillers – each with specialized technology and precise control systems. Whether it’s a scorching desert climate or a humid coastal city, our chillers adapt to keep things running smoothly.

Take King Khalid Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We installed five Centrifugal Chillers there, each with a 3000 Refrigeration Ton (RT) capacity. Using two-stage compression, they deliver top-tier performance while minimizing energy consumption. We’ve also brough Centrifugal Chillers to airports in Bangladesh and Indonesia, helping them maximize cooling efficiency for their large-scale facilities.

In Brazzaville, Congo, Maya-Maya Airport now runs on Water-Cooled Screw Chillers. These units are built for stability, with advanced protection devices and precise control, and to celebrate this achievement, we hosted a commemorative installation ceremony on September 12.

Over in Mexico City, Benito Juarez Airport relies on our Air-Cooled Screw Chiller to keep passengers comfortable. It runs quietly, with low vibration, and uses a high-performance control algorithm to optimize output. By using a falling film evaporator and electronic expansion valve, it also enhances heat transfer efficiency, reduces refrigerant charge and precisely manages refrigerant flow.

Here at home in South Korea, our chillers are hard at work in multiple airports. Incheon International Airport runs eight Air-Cooled Screw Chillers for consistent cooling, while other major airports such as Gimpo and Jeju operate Absorption models with low-GWP refrigerant for stability and efficiency, alongside Centrifugal and Water-Cooled units.

These projects are just the beginning. The global chiller market is expected to hit USD 12 billion by 2027, and we’re aiming to grow our chiller business to USD 720 million (KRW 1 trillion) within two years. With advanced technology, diverse product lineup and commitment to customized solutions, we’re ready to keep airports – and industries everywhere – cool, comfortable and energy-smart.

With Auracast support, users can also synchronize audio across multiple devices, perfect for watch parties, multiplayer gaming and collaborative projects.

And for those who value convenience, the Buds Plus charging case supports wireless charging, making it easier than ever to power up without fumbling for cables. Whether placed on a charging pad at home or on the go, this feature adds a layer of effortless practicality to the premium experience.

xboom Buds Lite: Essential Audio for Everyday Adventures
Designed for those who value simplicity with a touch of personalization, Buds Lite deliver high-quality wireless audio in a streamlined, comfortable form. Powered by the same lightweight graphene drivers as Buds Plus, they offer clear, balanced audio for music, calls and more.

With up to 11.5 hours of playback on a single charge – and up to 35 hours with the charging case – Buds Lite are built to keep up with long commutes, travel days and non-stop listening. Their lightweight, ergonomic design and multiple ear tip sizes ensure a secure, comfortable fit that lasts all day.

To enhance the listening experience, Buds Lite feature Mild ANC paired with four customizable EQ modes, allowing users to fine-tune their sound profile to match their preferences – whether they’re relaxing at home or working in a café. This added layer of personalization brings a premium touch to everyday audio.

1 Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) Disclaimer: ANC functionality is available across all xboom Buds models, but performance may vary. xboom Buds and Buds Plus use a 3-microphone system for enhanced noise detection and reduction. Buds Lite uses a single microphone to monitor ambient noise, resulting in different ANC experiences depending on the model and environment.
2 UVnano is a compound word derived from “UV” and its unit “nanometer.” Independent testing shows that the UVnano charging case eliminates 99.9% of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria from the earbuds’ speaker mesh within ten minutes of charging. The UV LED function operates when the charging case is connected to a power cable. However users can also customize the settings so that the UVnano is activated automatically whenever the earbuds are placed inside the case and the lid is closed, for added convenience.
